Theoretical and Methodological Bases of Research (Spanish Edition)

Dr. Manuel Jesús Asmat Asmad presents to the reader his third book, this time titled THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF RESEARCH, specifically aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students. This work has been authorized and approved by the Research Vice-Rectorate of the National University Federico Villarreal – Lima, Peru. It contains the theoretical foundations and methodological procedures for a comprehensible and easy approach to research. It explains the importance of vast scientific knowledge and how it has been increasing, with a significant role played by institutions of higher education. However, the author believes that we should also focus on promoting research from basic education institutions. In order to do so, methodologies and contents must be adapted according to the school level, with teachers being the first researchers. The educational system must realistically change its vision and mission, as schools should not ignore well-known facts and should address the "why" and the creativity of children and adolescents. The author announces the upcoming edition of a new book where a focus on a modern educational system will be presented, detailing its necessary components, philosophical, scientific, technological, and pedagogical foundations. It will also explore why educational reforms fail to achieve their goals. The author believes that the components of the system should be measurable by specialized organizations for proper feedback. Finally, he emphasizes that the quality of education should be a reality, emphasizing its usefulness. He advocates for "quality education with equity as a social commitment, for human development, based on learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together, and learning to be" as stated by UNESCO in "Education: A Treasure Within."
